Honda’s hybrid version of its popular midsize sedan gets a midcycle refresh for 2021. According to the Honda Dealer of Alameda, there are some updated tech features, including standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the base model and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the other trims. The base Accord Hybrid now has a standard 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and Rear Seat Reminder is now standard. Improvements to safety features include recalibrated adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist systems.

The 2021 Honda Accord Hybrid is offered in four trim levels: base, EX, EX-L and Touring. The unique hybrid powertrain combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 143 horsepower and an electric motor that generates 181 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. The gas engine can generate energy or drive the wheels. In most driving circumstances, propulsion is provided by the electric motor. For the most power, both systems can work together to produce 212 hp.
EPA-estimated fuel economy for the 2021 Accord Hybrid is rated at 48 mpg city/48 mpg city for all models except the Touring, which returns 44 mpg city/41 mpg city.*

Standard features for the base Accord Hybrid include 17-inch wheels, LED headlights with automatic high beams, cloth upholstery, keyless entry, remote start, push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, and manually adjustable front seats. Standard infotainment features include a four-speaker audio system, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth and two USB ports.
The Honda Sensing safety suite is also standard. It features lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning and road sign recognition.
The range-topping Accord Touring trim comes with an adaptive suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, ventilated front seats, heated outboard rear seats, a head-up display, low-speed braking control and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The 2021 Honda Accord Hybrid is very safe. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2021 Accord Hybrid its highest overall safety rating of five stars.
